Even if MIPIM wasn’t located in the beautiful resort town of Cannes, the real estate industry conference would still be a highlight of the year. The venue for MIPIM is the prestigious Palais des festivals et des congrès. The current one was built in 1979, and like the original Palais built in 1949, was built to host the Cannes International Film Festival, and is used to host events like MIPIM between festivals. Aside from being able to enjoy the beautiful modern architecture of the Palais, its location creates a unique opportunity for MIPIM attendees to connect with other professionals. Participants can enjoy the beautiful scenery, the wonderful climate, and meet over dinner or drinks in le Suquet, the old fishing village which is now home to more restaurants than fishermen. It is the perfect place to end a day of networking and learning, and a great opportunity to mix business with enjoying the beautiful town of Cannes.
