The move towards smaller living spaces has inspired innovations in increasing the functionality of small spaces, as seen in a 420 square foot studio apartment featured on CNNMoney. The main room of the apartment features a rolling wall that contains cabinets, drawers, and a standing desk. The wall can also be rolled out to create a guest bedroom with two bunk beds that can be folded up when not in use.

The space was created by owner Graham Hill to show how functional small spaces could be. Hill is bringing this idea to new apartment complexes to Brooklyn, New York and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
